I highly recommend a week or so apart for all you old married types out there. See, the Samurai and I are ALWAYS together. We have the same work schedule (we're both teachers) and the same days off. He's gone for aikido a few nights a week, but other than that, we're mostly in the same place. While this is the way we prefer things, we sometimes get a little too habituated to one another. It's hard to admire your sweetie's gorgeous eyes when he's just passed gas for the seventieth time in an hour. You just get too accustomed to each other, y'know? Some apart time is great for the old marriage. It doesn't hurt to have my handsome friend boasting about my antics with his simian counterpart, either.Add the tendency for women at ninja camp to hit gently on my sweet hubby, doing wonders for his ego. Hubby feels quite virile and manly-women want him, but he has a desirable woman at home, all his own. He's da man! Let's just say the Samurai and Educait are quite pleased to be together again.
