Mama Educait fusses a bit

I have a simple request for all of you people out there in the Big World. If you already do it, consider yourself exempt and naturally superior.

CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES.

Consider all the aggravation caused by having to clean up after other people. Dirty laundry, used dishes, overflowing trash cans, and random stuff lying about cause a lot of domestic resentment.

Other people's garbage on one's front lawn is unpleasant.

Toxic waste in the municipal water supply is a bummer.

Turning the fruit of your loins over to other people and expecting them to raise the kids for you is somewhat presumptuous.

I could go on, but you get my drift here, don't you?

I've heard all the excuses, too: "But I can't, because...." or, "I'm just a slob" or, "You're too picky; why does it matter?"

If you are a "slob," it's just a passive-aggressive way of making yourself feel better about your miserable existence by showing contempt for other humans who are forced to share the planet with you.

Show some self-respect, and leave your surroundings better than you found them.

The rest of us will appreciate you, sing your praises, and treat you kindly in return.

Afterwards, we can all go hunt down the remaining slobs together. If we're feeling generous, we won't kill them; we'll just put them on scullery duty forever.
